Heidi DiCicco, JD, PMP, President

Heidi DiCicco, the President and Chief Operating Officer of Florida University Southeast (FUSE), brings a diverse background to her roles, with over a decade of experience as an educator, an eclectic educational background, and extensive administrative practice. She holds a master’s degree in business, a Juris Doctorate with multiple academic recognitions, and is a JSD Candidate. Ms. DiCicco has taught various subjects at the college level, served as a court administrator and attorney for a child advocacy program, worked briefly as a Senior Attorney for Florida’s Office of the Attorney General, Children’s Legal Services, and previously held a position as a Department Director for a nonprofit.

Dereje Tessema, PhD, PMP, PMI-ACP, CEA, SAF-SPC Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (CEO)

Dr. Dereje Tessema, the Vice President of Florida University Southeast, brings over 25 years of experience in managing government and private sector projects and programs. With a Ph.D. in Management, two master’s degrees, and several industry certifications, he specializes in enterprise architecture and provides consulting services in EdTech, FinTech, and infrastructure projects. As an accomplished author of three books and numerous research papers on leadership and management, Dr. Tessema’s expertise contributes significantly to driving innovation and excellence in education at Florida University. Southeast.

Ayenachew Aseffa (PhD, MPM, SAFe-SM), Chief Academic and Research Officer

Ayenachew Aseffa holds a PhD in higher education from the Center for International Higher Education, Boston College. He has over a decade of international experience working in the higher education sector in both academic and non-academic roles. In the past two years Ayenachew has been leading the academic and research wing of FUSE. In this role, he drives the institution’s academic and research initiatives by providing strategic leadership to enhance teaching, learning, and scholarship programs Ayenachew works closely with faculty on strategic planning, faculty development, research oversight, and fostering partnerships for innovation and impact. He ensures alignment with institutional goals, advocates for academic quality, and represents the organization externally.

Getaneh Bitew Fenta (PhD, SAFe-SM), Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Getaneh Bitew Fenta (PhD, SAFe-SM), Chief Information Officer (CIO) at FUSE, has over 20 years of experience leading complex IT projects and programs in both the public and private sectors. With a PhD in Computer Science and several industry certifications, Getaneh is part of the leadership team that has transformed FUSE from a traditional academic and professional development institute into an Educational Technology company. As CIO, Dr. Getaneh brings a wealth of experience in leading FUSE’s EduSuite360 suite as a comprehensive solution for K-12, higher education, and organizations eager to implement the latest educational technology for their customers and clients. Dr. Getaneh resides in the USA and leads the global IT team distributed across the US, Europe, and Africa.

Seble Mengesha (PhD, PMP, CISSP) Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Seble Mengesha (PhD, PMP, CISSP), Chief Operating Officer (COO) at FUSE, brings a unique blend of experience from both the academic and industry sectors, focusing on cutting-edge technologies. Holding a PhD in Electrical Engineering along with several certifications in networking, wireless technology, system development, and deployment, and enterprise architecture, Seble’s contribution is pivotal to FUSE’s transformation into a leading educational technology company. As a scholar-practitioner, Seble oversees the operations of both FUSE’s academic projects and the EduSuite360 products

Getaneh Bitew Fenta (PhD, SAFe-SM), Chief Information Officer (CIO)

Getaneh Bitew Fenta (PhD, SAFe-SM), Chief Information Officer (CIO) at FUSE, has over 20 years of experience leading complex IT projects and programs in both the public and private sectors. Eskindir Jembere (PhD, MA, BEd) Coordinator, School of Professional Studies

Eskindir Jembere, Ph.D., currently serves as the Coordinator of the School of Professional Studies (SPS) at FUSE. He holds a Ph.D. in International and Comparative Education and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. With nearly two decades of experience in academia and the public sector, Eskindir is an established expert in the field of Education. His background in teaching, research, and scholarly publication has led to a commendable record within academic circles. In his role as SPS Coordinator at FUSE, Eskindir coordinates with students, faculty, and staff to cultivate a dynamic learning environment that equips students for successful professional careers. As an education specialist, he also actively contributes to quality assurance endeavors, ensuring the maintenance of high educational standards and facilitating the integration of academic knowledge with real-world professional applications.

Habtamu Berhanu, Ph.D., MBA, MBV, Dean School of Business Valuation and Investment

Habtamu Berhanu has extensive experience bridging academia and industry, with a career spanning decades. His expertise encompasses various facets of financial sector development, notably corporate governance, corporate growth, value-based management, business valuation, systems development, business intelligence, and data analytics. Currently, Habtamu serves as the dean of the School of Business Valuation and Investment, where he orchestrates the academic, research, and community service initiatives of the school.

Aemro Tazeze Terefe, Ph.D.

Aemro Tazeze Terefe has PhD in Agricultural economics and he is now an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Bahir Dar University, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, with over 17 years of experience in research, community service, teaching and supervising postgraduate students at both Haramaya and Bahir Dar Universities. He examined 60 MSc students and advised more than 40 MSc students and five Ph.D. students. He developed different policy documents and also engaged in research and outreach programs related to the impact evaluation of different projects, project planning and analysis, private sector assessment, marketing and value chain, development and environmental economics, the efficiency of technology adoption and agricultural production, and farm household modeling and published several reputable peer-reviewed journals and several proceedings and conference presentations. He successfully served in different positions at Bahir Dar and Haramaya University.

Dr. Assefa Tessema Tecklie

Dr. Assefa Tessema Tecklie is an aquatic ecologist and Associate Professor at Wollo University, Ethiopia, with over 18 years of professional experience in ecohydrology, aquatic sciences, fisheries, aquaculture, and wetland management. He holds a PhD in Aquatic Sciences, Fisheries, and Aquaculture from Addis Ababa University, an MSc in Fisheries and Wetland Management from Bahir Dar University, and a BSc in Applied Biology from Hawassa University. Dr. Assefa currently serves as the focal person for the Lake Hayq UNESCO Ecohydrology Demonstration Site and leads key initiatives at the Abay Awash Basins Research Institute of Wollo University. He is actively engaged in both national and international projects that promote integrated water resource management, nature-based solutions, and community-driven environmental restoration. Notably, he coordinates ecohydrology-based restoration efforts at Lake Hayq and plays a vital role in the Remote Sensing for Community-driven Applications: from WA+ to Co-learning (RS-4C) project, which focuses on managing water hyacinth in Lake Tana. This initiative is conducted in collaboration with Bahir Dar University and is funded by IHE Delft. Dr. Assefa has demonstrated strong leadership, previously serving as Head of the Research and Community Service Office at the Dessie Campus, the main campus of Wollo University. He also played a pivotal role in establishing the Abyssinia Journal of Science and Technology. His technical expertise has contributed to the development of strategic documents, conservation plans, and environmental assessments, including the Lake Maybar Water Quality Report for the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and the Kelem Meda Wetland Conservation Plan. He has presented his research at over 10 national and international conferences in Ethiopia, Tanzania, and the Netherlands (IHE Delft), and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed scientific papers in international journals. Dr. Assefa has also supervised over 14 MSc students and has provided consultancy services, organized academic conferences, and served in various capacities within professional societies. Deeply committed to institutional capacity building and sustainable aquatic resource management, Dr. Assefa continues to play a leading role in advancing environmental stewardship and applied research in Ethiopia and beyond.

 

Dr.Atalay Mesfin

Dr.Atalay Mesfin is a dedicated educator and researcher with a diverse background in education policy, leadership, and teacher development. Currently he is an assistant professor of Education Policy and Leadership at Debre Markos College of Teacher Education, Atalay has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of education. He graduated in Master of Arts (MA) in Leadership from Debre Markos University a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Pedagogical Science from Bahir Dar University, Bachelor of Arts in performing and visula arts from Addis Ababa University. Atalay possesses a solid academic foundation. His professional qualifications include expertise in computer skills, gender-responsive pedagogy, and research methodologies such as SPSS and QDA.Throughout his career, Atalay has actively engaged in research activities, contributing to both national and international publications on topics ranging from instructional leadership to time management among college students. He has also presented his research findings at various conferences and events, showcasing his commitment to scholarly inquiry and knowledge dissemination.In addition to his research endeavors, Atalay has played a significant role in providing training and education to elementary school teachers, focusing on areas such as active learning, continuous professional development, and textbook evaluation. His dedication to improving teaching practices and educational outcomes is evident in his multifaceted contributions to the field of education

Mr. Daniel Geletaw Eshete

Mr. Daniel Geletaw Eshete is currently a PhD student at University of Chinese Academy of Science, Institute of Geographic Science and Natural Resources Research, China.  Daniel is a Lecturer and Research in Hydraulic and Water Resource Engineering department at University of Gondar, Ethiopia. Daniel also serves the university as a chair for Hydrology and Water Resource stream, chair for College Research and Ethical Committee, and head for Pre-Engineering. With a specialization in Engineering Hydrology, Daniel’s interest for academic and research area includes hydrological modelling, impact of climate change and human activity on the water system, and role of integrated and nature-based solution for climate change impact mitigation. He has been involved in teaching courses for undergraduate and graduate students, and conducting problem solving researches from which more than 13 articles, and book chapters are published in reputable journals.  Daniel is also participated in national and international collaborations as he was a project member in Kansas State University (Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sustainable Intensification), and Connecticut University (Water and Food Security PIRE). Similarly, he is a member of the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), International Water Resources Association (IWRA), and International Association of Hydrological Science (IAHS).

 

Ermias Filfilu Gebru

I am Ermias Filfilu Gebru, currently serving as a Lecturer at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia in Ethiopia and a PhD researcher at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. In my role as a Lecturer at Addis Ababa University’s School of Earth Sciences, I teach both theoretical and laboratory courses for undergraduate students. Additionally, I take students on geological field trips, providing them with the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned in the classroom in real-world settings. My PhD research focuses on establishing the seismo-stratigraphy of the Danakil Depression in Afar, Ethiopia—one of the most remote and least explored sedimentary basins in the world. Over the course of my career, I’ve delivered eleven different undergraduate courses to more than three hundred students from various universities across Ethiopia. As a researcher, I have co-authored eleven scientific papers with distinguished scholars from leading universities and research institutes. My fascination with earth sciences began with a curiosity about exploring the unknown, which led me to pursue this field of study almost by chance. This passion has shaped my journey into becoming a geologist, and I am determined to grow into one of the world’s finest educators, mentors, and researchers. I aspire to help future earth scientists realize their potential and contribute to solving real-world challenges in geosciences.

Esmael Adem Esleman

Esmael Adem Esleman, currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU), focuses on the design and development of sustainable materials, specializing in composite materials, fracture and fatigue analysis, and vibration analysis. Optimization and root cause analysis of systems is also his interest. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Konya Technical University,  M.Sc. degree in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University, M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Addis Ababa University, and, a B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bahir Dar University. In addition to his academic contributions, he plays a vital role in various government projects as a member and project manager, while also delivering project management training for industry professionals. His work bridges research, practical application, and professional development, demonstrating his commitment to advancing sustainable engineering solutions.

 

Megbaru Tesfaw Molla

Megbaru Tesfaw Molla, born in 1987 in Ethiopia, is an an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at the College of Business and Economics, Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. With over 17 years of experience in higher education, he has demonstrated a sustained commitment to teaching, research, community engagement, and academic leadership. He earned his Bachelor of Education degree in Accounting from Adama University in 2008 and completed his Master of Science in Finance and Investment, in the department of Accounting and Finance, from Mekelle University in 2011. He is presently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree at Punjabi University, India, further enriching his academic and research credentials. He began his academic career at Mizan Tepi University, where he served from 2008 to 2013, before joining Debre Markos University in 2013. His dedication and scholarly contributions led to his promotion to the rank of Assistant Professor in Accounting and Finance in 2020 at Debre Maerkos University. Throughout his academic journey, he has supervised numerous postgraduate theses, fostering high-quality, publication-oriented research and mentoring the next generation of scholars. He has published 7 papers in known journals. He remains actively engaged in academic service and continues to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of knowledge and institutional growth.

Dr. Mekonnen Hailemariam Zikargae

Dr. Mekonnen Hailemariam Zikargae is an Assistant Professor of Journalism, Media, and Communication in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Bahir Dar University (BDU), Ethiopia. He earned his Ph.D. in Media and Communication from BDU in May 2022. He also holds M.Ed. in Multicultural and Multilingual Education and a B.A. in Ethiopian Languages and Literature (Culture and Communication), both from Addis Ababa University. He has supplemented his academic qualifications with a range of professional certifications, including diplomas in Human Resources, Customer Service, Project Management, and Human Rights Education. He has also undergone various advanced trainings, including African Civic Engagement at the University of Georgia, Conflict Analysis and Negotiation with UNIP, as well as training in Humanitarian Principles, Entrepreneurship, and Population Communication. Furthermore, he completed a Master Class in Online Teaching at Arizona State University. Since joining BDU in 2004, He has held several academic roles—ranging from Assistant Graduate to Lecturer—before being promoted to Assistant Professor in 2017. He actively teaches and supervises students at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels. His academic focus includes media, journalism, public relations, and communication, in which he has built a robust portfolio of research, publications, and community service. He has over two decades of experience in higher education and development work. He has served as a resource mobilizer for the Ethiopian Family Guidance Association (FGAE), where he was also a standing committee and resource mobilization member. As project coordinator for the Amhara Development Association’s water bottling plant initiative, he oversaw the feasibility study, specifications, and design phases. He also led projects focused on community-led sanitation and hygiene under the auspices of BDU’s Vice President for Research and Community Services. In his academic and professional roles, Dr. Mekonnen has been an active facilitator and trainer. He co-facilitated the Ministry of Peace’s youth development training programs in partnership with BDU, provided life skills training to female university students, and delivered employability skills training to BDU graduates. He has also played key roles in organizing and coordinating numerous academic workshops and conferences. He has presented his research at national conferences hosted by institutions such as Hawassa University, Assosa University, Wolkite University, and Bahir Dar University. He contributed to the EFDA’s vaccine safety risk communication validation workshop and formerly served as Program Unit Coordinator for BDU’s Distance and Continuing Education Program. Internationally, he was awarded a prestigious Ph.D. research fellowship under the NORPART 2016/10471 project at NLA University College in Norway. As a scholar, he has authored twenty peer-reviewed journal articles, two books, and one book chapter. His publications are indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and PubMed.Currently, he serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Journal of Language, Culture, and Communication (EJLCC), following his earlier role as Associate Editor. He is also a full member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (ISDS), Japan.

 

Dr. Mekonnen Maschal Tarekegn 

Dr. Mekonnen Maschal Tarekegn is a distinguished Ethiopian environmental scientist, educator, and policy advocate with over 17 years of expertise in sustainable development and climate resilience, bridging academia, industry, and policymaking. He holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from Addis Ababa University, dual master’s degrees in Environmental Science and Technology (UNESCO-IHE, Netherlands) and Urban Geology (Addis Ababa University), and a BEd in Chemistry from Jimma University. His credentials include certifications as a BTR Technical Review Expert (UN Paris Agreements’ Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF)), Greenhouse Gas Inventory specialist (GHGMI), and Climate Change Policy training (YALI/U.S. Department of State), alongside expertise in online education design from Arizona State University. Currently he worked as an Assistant Professor of Environment and Climate Change Management at Ethiopian Civil Service University since October 2015. He founded Global Environmental Solution, Ethiopia, serving as Managing Director and principal consultant to advance sustainability initiatives. A prolific scholar, he has authored over 18 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, contributing to global discourse on ecological challenges. He actively engages in international platforms like the World Water Forum and Korea International Water Week, fostering cross-border collaboration. Recently, he is selected for the UNFCCC A6.4 Supervisory Body’s Roster of Experts on Methodologies (2024–2026). As Associate Editor of the Journal of Urban Development Studies, he champions urban sustainability research. His interdisciplinary work emphasizes climate resilience, policy innovation, and education, driving transformative environmental practices across Ethiopia and inspiring global climate action through holistic, cross-sectoral solutions.

Dr. Muluken Zegeye Getie

Dr. Muluken Zegeye Getie is an Assistant Professor at Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University, with a Ph.D. in Energy Engineering from Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté, France, an M.Sc. in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Bahir Dar University, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Mekelle University. With a strong academic and professional foundation, he specializes in renewable energy systems, energy transition, sustainability, and global development through appropriate technology. Dr. Getie has taught under graduate and graduate-level courses including operations research, Renewable energy and energy management, energy systems modeling, cogeneration and energy auditing, and sustainable energy planning, integrating tools such as OSeMOSYS, MATLAB, HOMER, RETScreen, and Python to provide students with both conceptual knowledge and applied skills. His research focuses on energy access, clean energy technologies, solar-powered irrigation, energy efficiency, and policy-driven interventions, especially in low-resource settings. He has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and has led multiple interdisciplinary projects addressing global energy challenges. Beyond academics, he plays a key leadership role as Deputy Scientific Director for Research and Technology Transfer and has served as Dean and Research Director. He has also coordinated major international conferences, overseen innovation and incubation center, and provided consultancy in energy policy and sustainability. A distinguished member of the European Alliance for Innovation, Dr. Getie brings a deep commitment to advancing sustainable development through education, research, and global collaboration. He has more than 15 years of teaching and 8 years of leadership experience at a university.

 

Sisay Geremew Gebeyehu, Ph.D.

Sisay Geremew Gebeyehu (PhD) is an Associate Professor, a Certified Management Consultant and Internationally Certified Entrepreneurship Trainer, at Bahir Dar University with over 24 years of professional experience in teaching, research, consultancy and leadership activities. He has got BSc degree Chemical Engineering from Bahir Dar University, MSc degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and PhD in Manufacturing Work Process Analysis from University of Wuppertal, Germany. Dr. Sisay has over 25 publications in different national and international journals and conference proceedings and has also major project consultancy undertakings in project management, innovation and technology management, organization and strategy development, business development and start up coaching. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Sisay serves as the advisory board Chairman of BiT Business Incubation and Techno- entrepreneurship Center (BiTEC) and a member of regional industry development steering committee. His research interests mainly focus on cross-cutting issues like Organization and strategy Development, Project Management, Quality Management Systems, Leadership and Human Capital Development, Innovation and Technology Management, Skills Development and Job Creation and Entrepreneurship & Business Development. Dr. Sisay is recognized for his forward-looking approach and has a strong track record in leading both local and international development projects and institutions.

Temesgen Alemu Tilahun, Ph.D.

Temesgen Alemu Tilahun (Ph.D.) is a distinguished development practitioner and Ph.D. scholar at the Institute of Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Studies, Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia. Temesgen completed his Ph.D. in Disaster Risk Science and holds a bachelor’s degree in management, in addition to two master’s degrees in social work (MSW), and business administration (MBA). Dr. Temesgen is a proven researcher (both quantitative and qualitative), with number of publications in reputable academic journals. Dr. Temesgen has over 14 years of professional experience in project and programmes management at international non-governmental organizations in Ethiopia. Currently, he works as Project Implementation Lead and a Country Representative for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) Ethiopia. In this capacity, Dr. Temesgen provides strategic leadership for national programs focused on decent employment opportunities, disaster risk reduction and resilient livelihoods, inclusive education, peacebuilding, social cohesion and health systems strengthening. Temesgen’s academic and professional efforts are grounded in enhancing sustainable development and the overall disaster risk management practices in Ethiopia along with a strong commitment to building resilient communities through evidence-based policy, capacity development, and inclusive engagement.

 

Tesfahun Endalew

Tesfahun Endalew is a dedicated university lecturer and researcher at Salale University, Ethiopia, with diverse research interests centered on environmental sustainability. His expertise, applying GIS, remote sensing, and project management skills, covers land use change, climate variability, environmental degradation, water resource management, urban expansion, and waste management. Currently pursuing a PhD in Remote Sensing and Geospatial Information Science at Addis Ababa University, Tesfahun’s research now emphasizes disaster risk analysis, particularly concerning flood impacts and climate change adaptation related to water resources. He is passionate about advancing knowledge and finding practical, sustainable solutions to pressing environmental challenges through effective project management and research.

Dr. Wubante Fetene Admasu

Dr. Wubante Fetene Admasu is an Assistant Professor of Land Economics and Valuation at the Institute of Land Administration at Bahir Dar University, where he also serves as the Head of the Department of Real Property Valuation. He is a postdoctoral researcher and currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Land Policy and Governance. Dr. Wubante earned his BA in Economics from Addis Ababa University, followed by an MSc in Land Management from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden. He received his PhD in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp in Belgium in May 2021. With a strong background in academic leadership, Dr. Wubante has held several administrative and academic positions, including Program Manager, Research and Community Service Coordinator, and Coordinator for Educational Quality Assurance and Enhancement. He possesses extensive experience in both teaching and research, focusing on community-centered, policy-relevant work that bridges theory and practice. His research integrates quantitative valuation methods with participatory approaches and is deeply rooted in real-world applications and policy engagement. His areas of expertise and interest include land and property valuation techniques, land value capture tools, land and urban economics, and ecosystem services valuation. Dr. Wubante has collaborated with a diverse range of stakeholders in the public and private sectors, NGOs, and international organizations.

Mr Yenesew Abebe is a PhD student at Bahir Dar University. He got his BSc and MSc degrees from Haramaya University in Ethiopia. He served as a researcher for several years at different levels from Junior Researcher up to Associate Researcher in different research centers. Mr Yenesew Abebe has extensive work experience and trainings in agricultural research especially in research proposal writing, research report writing, publication of research reports and data analysis using statistical softwares. He together with his colleagues has published several peer reviewed journal papers, proceeding papers and working manuals. He has also a work experience in agricultural development project. Currently, he is teaching and studying his PhD at Bahir Dar university.

Dr. Yosef Kasa Alemu

Dr. Yosef Kasa Alemu is an accomplished mathematics educator and researcher with over 13 years of leadership in STEM education, blending academic excellence with transformative pedagogical practices. He holds a PhD in Science and Mathematics Education from Addis Ababa University, complemented by advanced certifications in digital pedagogy and teaching at Higher Education, including Arizona State University’s Master Class: Foundations Excellence in Teaching Online and Wollega University’s Higher Diploma Program. Currently serving as an assistant professor and researcher at Assosa University, he has also taught foundational and advanced mathematics courses at Addis Ababa University and Kotebe University of Education. His commitment to educational excellence is demonstrated through his active role in curriculum development, faculty training programs, and student mentorship initiatives. As a scholar-practitioner, Dr. Kasa has authored 9+ peer-reviewed publications and presented at international conferences, contributing valuable insights to mathematics education and STEM pedagogy. His dual expertise in classroom instruction and academic research combined with skills in data analysis and grant writing, positions him as a versatile contributor to the advancement of higher education in Ethiopia and beyond.

 

Zerihun Yohannes Amare

Zerihun Yohannes Amare has over 15 years of experience in academia, government, and humanitarian sectors. He served as the Vice Academic Dean and Quality Assurance Director (04/03/2019-10/03/2022) at Bahir Dar University, where he is also a member of the academic staff. He is also working as guest lecturer at various African universities, utilizing both in-person and online platforms such as Google Classroom and Canvas. He is Editor in chief at PLOS-One. Zerihun’s research interests encompass climate change, environment, development, alternative energy, livelihoods, and food security. He possesses extensive multi-donor and multi-sector fund management experience, having developed and secured over 15 research and community outreach grants from organizations including USAID, the EU, DFID, OeAD, and UN entities. Academically he has PhD in Environmental Management, MA in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid, MA in Urban Management with emphasis on Urban Environmental Management and Planning, BA in Management, and Advanced diploma in Natural Resources Management and Protection. Recently, he graduated in Master Class for Teaching Online (Open edX) organized by Arizona State University and Bahir Dar University.
